FEASIBILITY STUDIES, MARKET RESEARCH & BUSINESS PLANS

The ALTAY CORPORATION performs studies based on requests from Turkish customers, our foreign partners, and upon our own initiative. We are constantly monitoring local market trends and dynamics in Turkey's most important sectors as well as internationally. Our studies include: input from major players; competitive analysis reports; risk assessment reports; market research reports; potential entry, marketing and public relations strategies; potential exit strategies, and; opportunities for follow-on business.

STRATEGIC BUSINESS CONSULTING & THE ART OF NEGOTIATIONS

Understanding the local business environment and leveraging local market knowledge are the key contributions of the ALTAY CORPORATION. We also understand the requirements and responsibilities of our foreign partners reporting back to corporate headquarters. We believe that it is our foreign partner's job to perform their business, and it is our job to help our partner do their business in Turkey. Our in-house professional staff covers all aspects of business development including legal, financial, marketing, operational, and administrative issues. Most importantly, we provide strategic consulting support in contract negotiations, eliminating any potential language or cultural barriers.

EFFICIENT PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT

Proposal development efforts are performed at our foreign partner's offices and our own headquarter office in Ankara. The ALTAY CORPORATION practices a policy of red teaming proposals. We ask our foreign partner to present the completed proposals internally to two teams, the ALTAY counterpart team and the ALTAY red team for comments. The ALTAY red team is a group of senior management who are not directly related to the project for objective feedback.

CREATIVE PROJECT FINANCING

One of the most significant concerns of both the customer and our partner is project financing, payment schedules and inflation. We have significant experience in working with the Turkish Treasury for approval of government guaranteed loans, Turkish and international financial institutions and grant agencies. We continuously monitor the Turkish government's debt structure and ratings, the allocation of government budgets, and other financial variables. We are actively promoting the use of military offset credits for project financing as well as the concepts of build-operate-transfer (BOT), build-operate-own (BOO), outsourcing, co-sourcing and revenue-sharing.
