UXO/ERW/BAC can be found most of the locations in the World which the clearance takes years and high cost. Altay carries on technological and feasible work for UXO/ERW/BAC clearance which every piece of metal on the ground is detected by enhanced geophysical device and GPS.  Collected data is analyzed with customized software and location and depth of suspected metals are pinpointed according to the clearance requirement. Having detected the target locations, the clearance could be performed fast and safely in a confined location rather than searching and digging vast area.

One of the conventional methods is to use single sensor detectors for UXO/ERW/BAC clearance operations and mark every indications/signals location and dig them. This takes too much time at the extensive area.

The advanced method for clearance of UXO/ERW/BAC is Digital Geophysical Mapping. High accuracy digital maps are produced with the data which is collected by vehicle mounted or hand held electromagnetic sensors and processed by Real Time Kinematic GPS system and software.

Real Time Kinematic system is used to boost the sensitivity of the data which is obtained from satellite based orientation systems. RTK system GPS is getting the positions from 5 satellites simultaneously. One or more mobile GPSs are making the positioning resolution while one main GPS is providing data from the location where the coordinates are known. Thus the orientation is obtained +/- 2 cm accuracy.

Real Time Kinematic System

High accuracy digital map is analyzed by custom engineered software and the coordinates of unexploded ordnance and/or suspicious substances in accordance with the detection parameters are identified. The pieces, out of the clearance scope, are taken out and clearance/searching requirement list is sent to clearance teams.   

 

 Surveyors mark the targets which the coordinates are taken by RTK-GPS system on the ground. The clearance teams check every target with the detectors and make clearance safely.
